Disciple-Makers MovementThe Philippines Disciple-Makers Movement (PDMM) is a growing network of churches, leaders, and believers committed to fulfilling the Great Commission of Jesus Christ: to make disciples who make disciples. Rooted in the teachings of Scripture, the movement emphasizes intentional discipleship, spiritual multiplication, and the transformation of lives through the gospel.
how the Movement launched
This movement began when pastors and ministry leaders recognized the need to go beyond simply gathering believers; but to then focus on raising disciples who would actively follow Christ and help others do the same. Through prayer, training, personal mentoring, and small group Bible studies, believers are now being equipped to grow in their faith and become disciple-makers in their families, churches, campuses, and communities.
Intentional Discipleship
The seeds for the PDMM were planted as far back as 2017 when Pastor Scott Roberts of Take The Challenge International began an online disciple-makers group with a handful of Filipino pastors and leaders. Seven years later, in May 2024, the movement was birthed when Scott returned to the Philippines to hold DM seminars with Pastor Wilson and Angelica Flores.
Spiritual Multiplication
Following those meetings, three new disciple-making groups were established in Villasis (Pangasinan), Anao (Tarlac), and Loo in Buguias, Benguet. This marked the beginning of a powerful season of growth and expansion.
From those three groups, the movement rapidly multiplied to more than 80 disciple-making groups in just 22 months. Through the dedication of pastors, leaders, and believers who embraced the call to make disciples, the movement continues to grow and reach more communities across the Philippines.
foundation for Expansion
In September 2025, the Philippines became the first nation for Take The Challenge to establish a DMM Command Center; Pastor Wilson and his wife, Angelica, joined the TTC team as staff missionaries. They now serve together as national directors of the Philippines Disciple-Makers Movement.
Through their leadership, the PDMM continues to expand as more churches adopt a culture of discipleship where every believer is encouraged to grow in Christ and raise others to become disciples as well.
Vision for Nations
The vision remains clear: to see generations of disciple-makers raised up to transform lives and communities for the glory of God throughout the Philippines and into the nations of Southeast Asia.
