It has been said that the church in Africa is 1000 miles long and 6 inches deep. That certainly seems to be true of the church in Kenya. In May 2019, Take the Challenge launched a new work in the nation of Kenya, focused on training and equipping pastors to help their believers go deep into His Word. One pastor who attended a training session hadn’t brought his Bible. Upon inquiry, Scott found that he had been pastoring for five years and he didn’t even own a Bible! Well, now he does!

     The Kenyan pastors’ seminars follow the pattern Scott pioneered in India. Pastors and spouses are gathered at a central location for training sessions on the topics of raising disciple-makers and strengthening ministry marriages. Scott also ministers in local churches and teaches in indigenous Bible schools.
