Dear All, Thursday’s Bottom Line: God has really ministered significantly to the DM leaders at the retreat these past couple days, and Scott is SO blessed to be able to play a part in impacting them. Friday will be mainly a travel day. On their way to Loo (“LOW-oh”) for a vision-casting session with Wilson and Angelica’s disciples there, they will make a short stop for Scott to speak at a church where he’s ministered before. They will have many hours in the car, and Scott said again how thankful he is for your prayers. Thursday’s Prayer Requests: 1. The leaders who were at the DM retreat to both hold onto (for themselves) and purposefully give away (to those in their groups) what they received at the leaders retreat. 2. Grace for Scott and his companions on their long drive Friday; his back to be fine and pain-free. 3. Wisdom from God on who will lead the DM groups formed at the Loo seminar on Saturday. |
Thursday’s Details: Today we have quite a number of pictures for your viewing pleasure. First, the grounds of the place where the DM leaders retreat was held are truly lovely and peaceful! Scott said, “Truly the Lord is in this place. It’s more than a song. Please thank the prayer partners.” (Thank you!) |

Concerning the impact of their retreat, Scott said, “I feel so privileged to be able to speak into the lives of these leaders. This morning I talked about the importance of “Creek Time,” or as I call it, “Shoes off time with the Lord” (see Joshua 5:13-16). The leaders are like sponges. And to see them drink in these new and challenging concepts. It is so rewarding. There are many things I spoke that were not in my notes. God is so good.” |
The leaders broke into several small groups to discuss each teaching. Those discussions were the highlight of the retreat. |

Scott said, “Wilson shared about how his life has been crushed or squeezed. He doesn’t have enough for his own family. His time is taken by discipling others, and he wants to quit. But he is determined to keep going. We cannot experience the power of the resurrection without first living a crucified life. It was really moving.” “I’m so blessed to be able to fulfill God’s purpose for my life. The things happening yesterday and today will continue to bear fruit in 100 years. What a privilege to be used by God to empower these disciple-makers.” It truly is a privilege; our enemy does not want people to become effective disciple-makers (of Jesus). Evidently, there are many cults also operating in these areas. |

Scott explained, “This Mormon church is about 2 miles from Myrna’s guest house in Tombod. It was built during Covid. You can’t drive onto the compound without passing a security checkpoint. Note the guy blowing the golden trumpet where the cross normally goes.” |

He continued, “There are many who are open to the scriptures, but are currently deceived. A perfect setting for the relational environment and scriptural immersion of the Filipino disciple-making movement.” So well said! And such a great reason for us to pray for our friends who are on the ground in the Philippines speaking the truth in love and making a difference! Thank you again for your partnership with us in prayer. Blessings, Patty |
