Update from The Mission Field & Feeding Programs

Dear All,

We recently received an update video from Pastor ** one of three pastors TTC is supporting as they coordinate feeding programs for pastors, villagers, and poor church members in their areas who can’t work because of the COVID-19 lockdown and therefore have no food. Watch his encouraging two-minute video here. Scott is hoping to return to ** in August. Please pray for God to re-open this great harvest field.

If you’d like to help Take the Challenge fund these feeding programs, visit our eGive site and select “Feeding Program” under Choose a Fund.

Thank you for praying for Pastor ** and for those his church is serving during this critical time!

Blessings,
Scott and Patty

Mission Accomplished!

We had a very successful weekend here in Branson, Missouri, where 33 eager participants (including six pastors) from 8 different churches (including 6 pastors) gathered for Scott’s first-ever stateside Raising Disciple-Makers seminar! The six hours of training were spread over Friday night and Saturday morning, and despite some issues with air conditioning, a full crowd  attended both sessions. Here are some responses from attendees:

  • “The seminar was so good! Thanks for your awesome teaching J” – Casey C.
  • “Awesome seminar!!! I’m ready for more!!!” – Tabitha S.

Most exciting of all was that all six of the pastors who attended have begun disciple-maker groups or are actively seeking and planning to invest in raising disciple-makers within their churches. One pastor has scheduled the full Raising Disciple-Makers seminar for his church in January 2020 (details to come). Praise God!

Kenya – May 2019

Kenya – May 2019

This was Scott’s first trip to Kenya and his first time to minister with Pastor Martin whom he met at the June 2018 Faith Ministries International Network World Conference. Martin and his wife, Anne, are the pastors of Glory Baptist Church in Eldoret, Kenya which they founded in 1996.

Scott’s ministry during this trip to Kenya included nine Disciple-Makers seminars and six Better Together marriage seminars in nine different cities over 24 days. Martin traveled with Scott to each and every location, acting as the host and often serving as his interpreter. The response to the seminars was very positive. The pastors are hungry for more, and there are many larger cities in which Scott wasn’t able to minister. In addition to the pastors seminars, he also had the opportunity to teach the Roots of Character course in Martin’s Bible school for 18 hours over five days.
