I want to let you know about an exciting ministry opportunity on which I will be embarking at the end of next month. I will leave on January 31, 2022, for three weeks of ministry in India. Our team members there have arranged three 3-day and one 2-day pastors’ seminars during which I will be investing in a total of about 300 pastors and their wives in the areas of raising disciple-makers and pastors’ marriages.

For two of the seminars, we have secured a Catholic conference center that provides food and private rooms for each couple along with a large meeting room with audio/visual equipment for only $7/person per night. Amazing! At each of these seminars, we plan to host 75 senior pastors and their wives. We used this conference center in 2019 with wonderful results.

The other two venues are new to us, but we hope they will provide similar results. Please take a moment to watch this two-minute video to hear the impact of the “Raising Disciple-Makers” and “Better Together” seminars on pastors in India.

In order to effectively “multiply out” the disciple-making process, with each mission trip going forward – and we did this with my recent Africa trip – we want to start weekly Disciple-Makers groups for interested pastors following the seminars. This five-month, weekly program equips them with the tools and experience to implement the disciple-making process in their own church as well as to set up pastors groups in their own area to train other local pastors to raise disciple-makers. This emphasis (on starting groups soon after our seminars) helps to ensure that the seeds sown have a good chance of bearing fruit that remains. To this end, we’ll have about six Indian pastors trained and ready to take small groups of pastors through the program after I leave.

The cost for the trip will be $10,000. This is a bigger budget than any of my prior trips, but the results of having pastors’ full attention over several days are worth what it costs. I fully believe every need will be met as the One who called us is faithful and He Will Do It!
