We interrupt today’s regularly scheduled newsletter to bring you some of the VERY best news we’ve heard in a long time: As of Friday, August 14th, Kevin Rideout -- the SIM missionary pilot who was kidnapped in Niamey (“knee-AH-may”), the capital of Niger, West Africa on October 21, 2025 – was on his way HOME to his family in the US!!!

Rejoice, rejoice, rejoice, and thank God for Kevin’s safe return!
That news surely builds our faith to pray and keep praying, even in difficult situations, so here are some of our most pressing issues.
Today’s Prayer Requests:
1. Pray for our annual Missions Banquet on September 15th. Specifically, pray for all the preparatory work to come together smoothly and on time, for God to give our table hosts favor as they invite new people, and for those who come to the banquet to take the challenge to get involved in raising disciple-makers. Click [here] for more information or to register.
2. Pray for the new disciple-makers groups in Congo (technically the Democratic Republic of the Congo), where an initial DM group has been meeting for two months. Great news: the second and third Congo DM groups started last week! Scott and others are planning to travel there in mid-January to hold seminars and officially launch the Congo Disciple-Makers Movement.
3. Pray for God to raise up the right administrator to work in the Global DMM (Disciple-Makers Movement) office.
And like cold water to a thirsty soul, we have even more good news from more far countries.
Several DM groups have been meeting in or near two cities in northern Tanzania, but this month a new group is beginning in Dar es Salaam, which is Arabic for “City of Peace.” With a population of over 7 million, “Dar” is the largest city in Tanzania.
Actually, if a person were to count all the DM groups currently meeting, multiplying, and raising disciple-makers in Colombia, Congo, Kenya, Morocco, Nepal, Niger, Nigeria, Peru, the Philippines, Tanzania, and the USA, there’d be over 220 groups, with more than 1,000 people being trained each week! Our goal, and God’s goal, is for each of those people to realize that what they’ve been given is not for them, but for those they will train as they start new groups and repeat the process for a “new” generation.
Thank you for partnering with us to make this all possible!
Blessings,
Scott and Patty Roberts and the ever-expanding TTC team
